We are a small ranch located 8 miles SE of Conroe, TX in Montgomery County, birthplace of the Texas Flag. The Turner Family is comprised of my wife and I and our three young children. We are very busy finding balance between our two careers and our children.
Starting off with just 2 Texas Longhorn Steers to help keep our grass down, we have since gone crazy for this exceptional breed of cattle. We are slowly growing our herd. We're always excited about our new cattle and we love meeting all of the great people associated with the breed.
At 5T Longhorns, we are breeding a small herd of blend and straight Butler cows to our young, blended Herd Sire and have recently purchased a very young straight Butler bull. Eventually, we plan to swap bulls between our breeding seasons.
5T breeding is for horn and color and our cows have to be good Mommas, raise a good calf and of course be easy keepers. We do not keep cows that are not reasonably easy to work with. Although we are a young breeder and have a long ways to go to accomplish what we have set out to do, we hope you will join us in our journey. Please check our site often as we hope to be able to showcase an exceptional animal from our program at one of the TLBAA's great sales someday soon.
We would also like to sincerely thank each of you who have helped us start our first Registered Longhorn herd.
